Feb 12, 2021

I have worked for quite a few excellent and inspiring leaders in my career.  I have been fortunate enough to be mentored directly, or indirectly at every step of my journey.  And, one man stands out, decades later, who’s influence on me has only deepened with time and age.  Tom Mendoza, former President of NetApp and current Board member of UniPath, Varonis and VAST Data.

Every leader after had big shoes to fill.  Without Tom’s guidance, wisdom, passion and direct influence on me… I would not be doing what I am doing.

This episode is a bit too personal for a “leadership” conversation, but F-ck it.  It’s my story, and I am super proud of it.  I’m sure I am not alone when it comes to Mr. Mendoza’s vast impact.

"The good news is, Tom Mendoza knows who you are.  The bad news is, Tom Mendoza knows who you are.”  – Greg Collins/Mike O’Donnell
