John Lee Dumas is the host and founder of the podcast Entrepreneurs on Fire, boasting over 1 million listeners per month. John learned how to build a brand by embracing the “hustle and grind” culture, producing his podcast seven days a week and learning as much as possible from other podcasters and entrepreneurs. Over the years, he has taken what he’s learned about business and himself to become a 7-figure NET worth author, speaker and award-winning podcaster. His first book, The Common Path to Uncommon Success, was published in March 2021.

John joins me today to discuss his path to success and how he went from a 7-day workweek to only working 4 or 5 days a month. He shares how he views the various stages of his life as ‘seasons’ and why that has been such a productive way of looking at his journey. John offers tips on building a lifestyle business and explains why health and wellness have become his top priority. He explains why he chose to cut back on his work when he realized he had achieved enough and how that has afforded him the life he truly wants to live. We also discuss the power of only doing the things you are really good at and how that can lead to a more successful business and a higher quality of life.

“Life is long. A lot of people like to say that life is short but it’s the longest thing we’re ever going to do.” - John Lee Dumas
